GOD PROMISES OUR RESTORATION

Ezekiel 36:22-32

INTRODUCTION

It had been 800 years since God gave Israel His commandments. Because
Israel failed to follow God's commands and worshipped idol gods, they
were taken captive by the Babylonians. Jerusalem was destroyed and the
temple was burned to the ground.  Even though they were in sin, God offered
hope for their restoration. Ezekiel and Daniel were the prophets during
the Babylonian exile.

GOD PUNISHES US FOR HIS GLORY
V:22 "Therefore say to the house of Israel, 'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am going to do these things, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone. "
