This Week's Sunday School Lesson, "Don't Provoke God To Anger", Numbers 16:23-35, 11/21/2021

DON’T PROVOKE GOD TO ANGER

 Numbers 16: 23-35

HELL IS THE CONSEQUENCE OF MAN’S PRIDE

V:23 Then the Lord said to Moses, 24 "Say to the assembly, 'Move away from the tents of Korah, Dathan and Abiram.'"

25 Moses got up and went to Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel followed him. 26 He warned the assembly, "Move back from the tents of these wicked men! Do not touch anything belonging to them, or you will be swept away because of all their sins." 27 So they moved away from the tents of Korah, Dathan and Abiram. Dathan and Abiram had come out and were standing with their wives, children and little ones at the entrances to their tents.

A.      The Lord moves swiftly when His plan of redemption is outwardly opposed

By the leaders He put in charge.

1.       Korah, Dathan and Abiram decided they wanted to take charge of the nation

Of Israel.

2.       They opposed God’s ordained leadership.

3.       In addition, they incited 250 additional men to oppose God.

B.      This is exactly what Lucifer, the Arch Angel, better known as Satan did.

1.       Satan opposed God’s rule because of his pride.

Revelation 12:3-4

Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads. 4 His tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth so that he might devour her child the moment it was born

2.       According to the text, Satan influenced one-third of the angels in heaven to join in

With him in opposing God.

3.       Not only did Satan oppose God rule but He also opposed God’s

Plan of redemption. He wanted to kill his Son, the author of our

Salvation.

4.       God does not change. His divine plan is not altered by the evil of mankind.

5.       God’s judgment was swift. Satan and his demons were cast from heaven.

6.       From the fall of Satan, trouble was infused into the life of man.

C.      God gives us the good sense to avoid those who cause trouble.

               Proverbs 22:8-9

He who sows wickedness reaps trouble, and the rod of his fury will be destroyed.

1.       We cannot expect God to save us when we do not heed His

Warnings.

2.       Those who oppose God will be isolated from those who love God.

3.       Those who oppose God cause trouble for their families.

4.       Those who oppose God will have hell as their destination

5.       Those who love God will have heaven as their destination

6.       This text teaches us that hell is a real place.

GOD USES THE POWER OF NATURE TO SHOW HIS GLORY

V:28 Then Moses said, "This is how you will know that the Lord has sent me to do all these things and that it was not my idea: 29 If these men die a natural death and experience only what usually happens to men, then the Lord has not sent me. 30 But if the Lord brings about something new, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them, with everything that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the grave, then you will know that these men have treated the Lord with contempt."

A. When God shows up, God shows out.

  1. God can always do something new to show His power and authority to man.

   2. 1 Corinthians 2:9

However, as it is written: "No eye has seen,

no ear has heard, no mind has conceived

what God has prepared for those who love him"

3, Some people have to see a miracle to fear the God of creation.

B. When we face difficult situations, we need to go in prayer and ask God

To give us a word of encouragement.

1.       God told Moses what was going to happen and how to get the people

Prepared.

2.       We are not told if it was Moses’ suggestion that ground be opened Up and the instigators swallowed alive into the earth.

3.       In the past, God showed his anger by killing those who rebelled against Him.

4.        At the base of Mount Sanai after the people built a golden calf to worship,

God commanded the Levites to go throughout the camp with swords and kill

Brothers, friends, and neighbors. 3000 people died that day  (Exodus 32:27-29).

5.       A little leaven leavens the whole dough.

6.       A little revote influences the whole nation.

7.       To show us that He is in control, God can put down an insurrection in Extraordinary ways.

JUDGMENT IS THE WRATH OF GOD

V:31 As soon as he finished saying all this, the ground under them split apart 32 and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them, with their households and all Korah's men and all their possessions. 33 They went down alive into the grave, with everything they owned; the earth closed over them, and they perished and were gone from the community. 34 At their cries, all the Israelites around them fled, shouting, "The earth is going to swallow us too!"

A.      There is power in the Word of God.

1.       If  God said it, He can accomplish it.

2.       God is capable of doing new things to show us His Glory.

3.       To validate Moses anointed position before the people, God

Opened the earth and wiped out all the ring leaders, their families,

And all they owned from the face of the earth.

4.       This was different from the flood that destroyed all mankind except

Noah and his family.

a.       It was different from the death angel that destroyed all the firstborn

Of Egypt.

b.       It was different from the opening of the waters of the Red sea

And the drowning of the Egyptian army.

c.       It was different from the 3000 Israelites that were killed as a result of the worship of the golden calf.

d.       We should learn from what God did in the past to others, what He

Is capable of doing to us today for our sins.

5.       God is not limited in what He can do for those He loves.

B.      This event was a prelude to the great white throne judgment described

In Revelation.

1.       Those who oppose the Lord will be judged and throne into the lake

Of fire.

2.       All of nation who witness the opening of the earth and the swallowing

Of Korah, Dothan, and Abriram and their families were struck with

Fear and ran for their lives to escape God’s judgment.

3.       We should have that same fear and run to Jesus for our lives.

YOU CAN’T FOOL GOD WITH FALSE WORSHIP

V:35 And fire came out from the Lord and consumed the 250 men who were offering the incense.

A.      God leaves nothing to chance

1.       The men who joined in with Korah in the opposing God’s authority were

Destroyed by fire.

2.       The fire may represent the eternal Lake of Fire that all nonbelievers will

Be thrown into.

3.       In the Lake of Fire, nonbelievers will not be consumed but will continue to exist

SUMMARY

1.       The wrath of God ls swift

2.       The wrath of God is sudden

3.       The wrath of God is provoked

4.       The wrath of God follows mass insurrection

5.       The wrath of God is directional

6.       Those who provoke the wrath of God, destroy

               Themselves and their families

7.       The wrath of God shows His power and authority

8.       The wrath of God shows His grace and mercy to those

Are obedient to Him.

Sometimes God uses His chosen leaders to announce His wrath.

Don’t go against those who God has put in charge over you.

God established government for our safety and order.

To oppose men who God has put in charge is to oppose God.

There are times when God is tolerant. There are times when God’s

Justice is swift.

Bible Study Series: Highway To Heaven

 ON THE HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN

WHAT IS HEAVEN LIKE?

Matthew 3:2

The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 13:45

The kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

Matthew 13:52

The kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

HEAVEN IS A REAL PLACE

Genesis 1:1-2

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

Notice the Holy Trinity in the verse

         God the Father

         God the Word      Jesus

         God the Holy Spirit

Heaven, Hebrew word  shamayim (shaw-mah'-yim); dual of an unused singular shameh (shaw-meh'); from an unused root meaning to be lofty; the sky (as aloft; the dual perhaps alluding to the visible arch in which the clouds move, as well as to the higher ether where the celestial bodies revolve):

The Bible describes more than one heaven

2 Corinthians 12:2

I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven

Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know — God knows. 3 And I know that this man — whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows— 4 was caught up to paradise.

Some theologians describe the three heavens

First heaven:   the atmosphere,  the sky        Deuteronomy  28:12

Second heaven:   The place of the planets, moon, and stars        Psalms 19:4-6

Third heaven:   The dwelling place of God               Matthew 5:16

HEAVEN IS A CREATED PLACE         Genesis 1:1

God cannot be contained in any one place. He is bigger than big

He made heaven His throne

Colossians 3:1-2

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.

All Believers are commanded to set their minds on heaven,

Colossians 3:2-4

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

This earth is not your home, you are just passing through

John 14:1-4

Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

THE THIRD HEAVEN IS A PARADISE

Revelation 21:18-21

The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. 19 The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.  21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass.

JESUS WAS SENT FROM HEAVEN

John 6:38-39

For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them at the last day

JESUS RETURNED TO HEAVEN

Luke 22:69

But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the mighty God."

ALL POWER OVER HEAVEN AND EARTH IS IN HIS HANDS

WE WILL HAVE FULL KNOWLEDGE IN HEAVEN

1 Corinthians 13:12

Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

WE WILL HAVE WORK IN HEAVEN

John 5:17

"My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working."

Revelation 5:13

Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing:

"To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb

be praise and honor and glory and power, forever and ever!"

THERE WILL BE NO SORROW IN HEAVEN

Revelation 21:3-4

They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

WE WERE PREDESTINED FOR HEAVEN

Ephesians 1:4-7

4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will.

WE WILL RECEIVE A CROWN IN HEAVEN

Revelation 22:12

"Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.

Revelation 2:10

Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.

2 Timothy 4:8

Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge,                                     will award to me on that day

1 Thessalonians 2:19-20

For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you? 20 Indeed, you are our glory and joy.

SOME WILL BE FIRST IN HEAVEN

Matthew 20:15-16

15 Don't I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?'

16 "So the last will be first, and the first will be last."

THERE WILL BE JOY IN HEAVEN

Luke 6:23

"Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven.

WE WILL KNOW EACH OTHER IN HEAVEN

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

YOUR EARTHLY MARRIAGE WILL NOT EXIST

Matthew 22:30-31

At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.

THE CURRENT HEAVEN IS CORRUPT

The first sin was in heaven

Isaiah 14:12-14

12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

THE CURRENT HEAVEN AND EARTH WILL BE DESTROYED BY FIRE

Revelation 21:1

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

JUDGMENT WILL TAKE PLACE IN HEAVEN

 Revelation 20:12-15

And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

YOU WILL NOT REMEMBER YOUR PAST

Isaiah 65:17

17 "Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth.

The former things will not be remembered,

nor will they come to mind.

YOU HAVE A PERMANENT RESIDENCE IN HEAVEN

Philippians 3:20-21

But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

YOU WILL HAVE A NEW HUSBAND

REVELATIONS 21:2

I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

TO GET INTO HEAVEN YOU NEED FAITH IN JESUS NOW

John 3:16

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

SEE YOU IN HEAVEN

This Week's Sunday School Lesson, "Complaining About Meat And Bread On The Table", Numbers 16:1-15, 11/14/2021

 COMPLAINING ABOUT BREAD AND MEAT

ON THE TABLE

Numbers 16:1-15

In America, we have elections every four years to choose new leaders or keep the current ones.

There is always someone who thinks the job can be done better. There is a competition between

Candidates to persuade the public who can do the best job.

Some enter the race for self-esteem and will say anything to discredit others.

The truth too often is not told and the public is misled. The one with the most money and the most lies often wins.

But this is America and we have a democracy. Candidates can claim whatever they want, true or

false. This is free speech. If free speech does not regulate itself, democracy dies.

God is a monarch, His Word is truth and never changes. He allows free speech which is subject

To consequences.

In today's lesson, there is an opposition to God’s chosen leaders. God chose Moses the general

And Aaron the priest to lead His nation of Israelites into the promised land. The Israelites had been

A complaining, grumbling group since they were freed from slavery and brought out of Egypt.

They never learn to trust God. Time and time again this newly freed nation rose against God.  The good thing is God chose a leader to intercede on their behalf.

THE PRIDE OF LIFE BRINGS DISSENSION

V:1. Korah son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and certain Reubenites — Dathan and Abiram, sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth — became insolent  2 and rose up against Moses. With them were 250 Israelite men, well-known community leaders who had been appointed members of the council. 3 They came as a group to oppose Moses and Aaron and said to them, "You have gone too far! The whole community is holy, every one of them, and the Lord is with them. Why then do you set yourselves above the Lord's assembly?"

A.    The group opposing Moses claim themselves to be as holy as him and worthy of a leadership position.

1. They claimed that Moses was a monarch denying them their rightful leadership position.

2. All it takes is one to start an opposition, and a crowd will follow.

     B. They opposed God's choice of leadership and God’s priest.

        1. Korah was a Levite and the others Reubenites.

        2. This 250 strong opposition group had position and authority because they had been chosen

            Members of the nation's council.

       3. God had given them privilege, but they wanted more.

    C. Satan, originally an Arch Angel of God, fell from grace because of his

Pride to be equal to or above God.

1.     When Satan is involved, the pride of man leads his thoughts and decisions.

2.     Satan elevates the pride of man to his downfall.

3.     The BIG LIE influenced by Satan was Moses and Aaron had assumed their position

On their own.

4.     The truth was Moses and Aaron were chosen and ordained by God.

5.     The truth is never on the mind of the evil one.

6.     With God’s authority minimized in the minds of the opposition, lies, and deceptions

Prevail.

7.     The opposition stood in front of a humble servant of God and accused him of

Elevating himself over the people.

     D. As you meditate on evil lies become the way and attitude of the mind.

           1. They claimed Moses as prideful.

           2. They claimed Moses overstepped his position

           3. The whole complaining nation claims itself to be holy and without sin.

           4. Their claim was not against Moses, but the authority of God’s choice.

GOD WILL DESIGN A TEST TO SHOW HIS AUTHORITY

V:4.  When Moses heard this, he fell facedown. 5 Then he said to Korah and all his followers: "In the morning the Lord will show who belongs to him and who is holy, and he will have that person come near him. The man he chooses he will cause to come near him. 6 You, Korah, and all your followers are to do this: Take censers 7 and tomorrow put fire and incense in them before the Lord. The man the Lord chooses will be the holy one. You Levites have gone too far!"

A.    We ought to grieve at the sins of those around us.

1.     When we grieve, go to the Lord in prayer.

2.     God will give us a word of comfort.

B.     God has a way of letting us know that He is in charge.

1.     Moses was instructed to put the Lord’s authority to test before the opposition.

2.     Incense is what the priest took before the Lord to intercede for the nation.

3.     The man holding the censer that God chose would be the holy one

C.     Moses reminded the Levites in Korah’s group that they had disobeyed God’s command.

The Levites had no civil  responsibilities.

1.     Levites' principal roles in the Temple included singing Psalms during Temple services, performing construction and maintenance for the Temple, serving as guards, and performing other services. Levites also served as teachers and judges, maintaining cities of refuge in biblical times.

2.     When we take our focus off the charge God has given us, we

Get distracted by worldly concerns.

NEGLECTING THE GOODNESS OF GOD BRING DISSATISFACTION

V:8.  Moses also said to Korah, "Now listen, you Levites! 9 Isn't it enough for you that the God of Israel has separated you from the rest of the Israelite community and brought you near himself to do the work at the Lord's tabernacle and to stand before the community and minister to them? 10 He has brought you and all your fellow Levites near himself, but now you are trying to get the priesthood too. 11 It is against the Lord that you and all your followers have banded together. Who is Aaron that you should grumble against him?"

A. God gifted each of us to do certain jobs.

    1. God did not give everyone the same responsibility.

    2. We should stay in our lane and not want the position of others.

    3. God honored us by calling us out of the world and setting us aside to serve the body of Christ.

    4. Each of us is uniquely qualified to serve in the capacity God called us to.

B. Every Levite was not designated as a priest.

    1. Every Levite was important in God’s service

    2. To deny God His rightful service is thoughtless, ungrateful and selfish.

C. To claim someone else’s position is to call God  incapable of choosing what’s best for

     For His divine plan.

1.     To call God incapable is to deny His sovereignty.

2.     To deny God in any way is to deny your salvation.

3.     Denying God is a death sentence.

4.     Jesus said if we deny Him before men, He would deny us before the Father.

DISOBEDIENCE DENIES THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD.

V:12. Then Moses summoned Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab. But they said, "We will not come! 13 Isn't it enough that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey to kill us in the desert? And now you also want to lord it over us? 14 Moreover, you haven't brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey or given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards. Will you gouge out the eyes of these men? No, we will not come!"

A.    Some people have very short memories.

1.     Some people do not see the significance of what God has done.

2.     They do not apply what they have witnessed to themselves.

3.     Some look at their current situation and see gloom and doom.

B.     Dathan and Abiram like most of the Israelites saw the desert as a death sentence.

1.     They witness the 10 plagues in Egypt. They witness the parting of the Red Sea.

2.     They participated in the battle with Joshua against the enemy.

3.     They were fed daily with food and water in the desert but could not see success in

In the Lord through Moses.

C.     Having heard the negative reports of giants in the promised land, they believed the worst.

1.     Instead of seeing Moses as their advocate, they saw him as their enemy.

2.     Instead of looking at what had been accomplished, they saw nothing positive.

3.     They could not see the food for their families that they did not have work for.

4.     They could not see security from the enemy that they did not have to provide.

5.     Instead of waiting on the Lord, they wanted relief immediately.

6.     Because of their hostility toward Moses, they denied themselves the opportunity

To listen to reason.

7.     We should always listen to the advice of others that God puts in our midst.

8.     You never know if the words of others will save you from making mistakes.

Bible Study Series: The Power Of God, Epesians 1:18-19

 THE POWER OF GOD

Ephesians 1:18-19. "I ask that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and the surpassing greatness of His power to us who believe. He displayed this power in the working of His mighty strength."

What is power?

Webster and Biblical words for power

Definition of power

1ability to act or produce an effect

2: the ability to get extra-base hits

3capacity for being acted upon or undergoing an effect

4legal or official authority, capacity, or right

5possession of control, authority, or influence over others

6one having such power specificallya sovereign state

Power = force multiplied by speed (velocity) P = F × v.

The Hebrew word for power is kowach: firm, vigor, might, strength, wealth

The Greek word for power is dunamis : same as above, add an abundance

There is no way to measure God’s power.

A  simple example of power is a nail being driven into wood with a hammer.

The Force is the weight of the hammer acting on the nail.

The velocity is the swing of the hammer

God never defines His power

He shows us His power by what He does.

Consider God’s power acting in our bodies

There are 12 major systems in our bodies that have to function to make us well and sane people,

These different body systems include the skeletal, nervous, muscular, respiratory, endocrine, immune, cardiovascular/circulatory, urinary, integumentary, reproductive, and digestive systems.

All of these systems require God’s Power.  For example, the human heart

Normal resting blood pressure, in an adult is approximately 120 millimeters of mercury (16 kPa) systolic over 80 millimeters of mercury (11 kPa) diastolic, denoted as "120/80 mmHg".
A normal resting heart rate for adults ranges from 60 to 100 beats per minute

In 2020 the human population of the world was 7.753 billion.

The God we serve regulates and keeps track of each heart rate.

LIMITED VIEW OF GOD’S POWER

Exodus 15:6-9

6 "Your right hand, O Lord, was majestic in power.

Your right hand, O Lord, shattered the enemy.

7 In the greatness of your majesty you threw down those who opposed you.

You unleashed your burning anger; it consumed them like stubble.

8 By the blast of your nostrils the waters piled up.

The surging waters stood firm like a wall; the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea.

Verses 6-9 give us three limited views of God’s power acting on man.

The power is in God’s right hand which presents a force to shatter the enemy

At God’s speed

2nd the force from God’s right-hand causes the enemy to fall  at God’s speed

3rd the power in God’s nostrils causes a blast at God’s speed to act on the water

Causing it to stand up creating dry land,

God’s power cannot be defined in human terms, but here is what we know

THERE IS POWER IN THE WORD OF GOD

Proverbs 24:5-6

A wise man has great power, and a man of knowledge increases strength;

6 for waging war you need guidance, and for victory many advisers.

Whatever knowledge and strength you have come from God

Daniel 2:23

I thank and praise you, O God of my fathers:

You have given me wisdom and power,

you have made known to me what we asked of you,

NEVER WITHOUT THE POWER OF GOD

1 Corinthians 5:4-5

When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present,

God’s Power is with us at all times.  It can be active in our lives, or passive in our lives if we are not doing anything

That bring Him Glory

In actuality, God’s power is working in us at all times. We are not aware of all the processes that are going on

In our bodies at all times.

WE ARE MADE COMPLETE IN THE POWER OF JESUS

2 Peter 1:3-4

His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

Ephesians 3:19. "May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God."

WE CANNOT QUESTION GOD’S POWER

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth

God does not tell how He created the Heavens and the earth

He does not tell what process He uses to lay out the  universe

Job dared to question the action of God regarding his condition.

Listen to God’s response

"Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation?

Tell me, if you understand.

5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!

Who stretched a measuring line across it?

SUMMARY

Power is the very energy of the life of God himself. It is the supernatural energy that emanates from God's being. (2) This supernatural and divine energy or power quite literally fills and indwells the bodies and souls of every born-again believer. God does not call upon us to speculate about the nature of this power.

Power comes to all baptized believers in the form of the Holy Spirit   (Acts 1:8)

God gives power to all mankind in the form of the spirit in man. The mind, the intellect, is the basis of man's power. To His regenerated children, though, He gives an extra, realized capacity to perform His will, just as He gives dunamis to the angelic host to carry out its responsibilities (II Thessalonians 1:7). He equips us with whatever we need to accomplish what He is working out.

If something needs to be done for God's design to be realized, we can be sure that God has delegated the power—the capacity, aptitude, authority, and active effectiveness—for it to be done. (Forerunner Commentary)

Don’t limit God’s ability to act in your life.

If you need something, ask God.

He can do exceedingly more than you can ask or imagine.

God wants to work His Power in your life

God is like a power grid

You are extensions of God’s Power Grid.

Who is connected to your power grid?

In other words, who are you influencing with the word of God?

How are you using God’s power in your life?
